o    Fixed an issue where invalid options generated an error message. Instead, it now returns a non-program-closing message which says: ‘Based on the criteria entered, no copies were made’

·         Lesson Plans

o    Fixed an issue in the add/edit window where the items available in the Resource drop down list were not being properly filtered based on the subject/course selection

·         Library: ISBN Lookup

o    You can now enter a 10-digit ISBN, 13-digit ISBN, or a 10-digit AISN (Amazon code for e-books) to query the online database. Searches are still limited to just books.

·         Memorization

o    The Search feature now operates properly in this area of the program

·         Report: Report Card

o    Added the option to have a footer on this report

·         Report: Scope & Sequence

o    Fixed an issue where report formatting was not following options selected


Version 6.2 Release 1 - March 6, 2011

Fixes

·       Attendance

o    Fixed an issue with ½ Attendance flag

·       Memorization

o    Fixed an idiosyncrasy in display of items when start date, end date, and date completed span more than one school year.

·       Reschedule

o    Fixed an issue occurring when resubmitting via LP Schedule – if there was no matching LP Schedule item and therefore no new due date could be assigned, items were allowed to be submitted anyway and ended up in limbo. Now if there is no new Date Due items will not be changed no matter if you click the submit button or not. Same alert message will appear as in Lesson Plan Submit when there is no valid Date Due assigned.

Fixes

·       Agenda

o    An appointment or chore should not span a range of dates. However, if you create a single Appointment or Chore that begins on one date and ends on another, that item will now appear in the ‘all day event’ area at the top of each day from the start date through and including the end date. The item will only appear on the Daily Task List on the start date. Please refer to the Agenda section of the Help File (F1) or User Manual for the correct steps to create repeating Appointments or Chores.

·       Assignments

o    Repaired an issue where the All Dates selection on the Assignment Grid was ignoring the date selection within a Custom filter

·       Attendance

o    When using Auto-Attendance, the ‘Present’ designation now properly updates for completed Field Trips.

·       Database

o    Set limits to remove slashes in a backup filename to avoid Windows handling errors due to invalid filename

·       Lesson Plan Import

o    When importing a new Resource (under the Import: Library Item tab), the new item will be added to the Library and then also automatically added to the Resource list under the ‘All Subjects’ designation.

o    You now have the option to choose ‘no item selected’ in the Library tab of the Import process.

·       Lesson Plan Submit

o     Fixed an issue with assigning of Date Due when LP Schedule items are set to ‘Any Course’ and multiple courses are included in selected items for submission.

·       Library

o    Added ISBN button to Library header. Now you do not have to click Add and then the ISBN link to add a new book.

o    Created a non-program-closing message when the ISBN feature has difficulty reaching the Amazon database or cannot complete the requested download.

·       Reports

o    ASSIGNMENTS – Sessions and Time Spent options now remain properly selected when changing Report Style from Assignments to Combined

o    COURSE LIST – added page break options to create page break at new subject or new subject/course.

o    FIELD TRIP – Topic field is now properly included in the report output; also added options to choose whether to include Subject, Course, Description, Notes, Date and/or Topic fields

o    GOALS PROGRESS – Fixed an issue with proper page breaks based on option settings.

o    LESSON PLAN – Added an option to make the Points columns excludable from the finished report

o    LESSON PLAN - When all grading options are disabled, the Points field will not appear as an option to include, nor appear on the report.

o    LESSON PLAN – Report will now print without issue when sequence numbers include negative numbers

o    PRINTER SELECTION ERROR – created a non-program-closing message when there is a discrepancy in printer selection between Windows Default Printer and Tracker.

o    SEND TO REPORT – Resulting report now shows date range based on actual selection rather than last date range set in Reports area.

·       Subjects/Courses

o    When creating a brand new Course, you will no longer get a warning message when selecting the Subject for that Course about existing items being changed (since there aren’t any existing items for a new course).

·       Tools

o    ASSIGNMENT TIMER – Added a Pause/Resume button so you can stop the timer and then continue with the same countdown/count-up if needed.

o    Borrowed Items Due Notification – changed the Cancel button to a Close button for clarity

o    SCHOOL YEAR CALCULATOR – when you try to save a year without entering a year name/description, the message provides more information on how to fix that issue.

·         Attendance

o    For ½ day Present, Time Spent or Sessions limits will be followed based on the type of time you’ve selected to track in the Attendance option.

o    Fixed an issue where using auto-attendance and manual hours removed the manual hours entry when new items were marked as complete on that date.

·         Grading

o    Letter grade displayed in Assignment add/edit window will now reflect the letter grade based on your rounding selection.

·         Lesson Plan: Submit – preview window

o    Created a task bar item for the preview window so that if you accidentally minimize the window, you can still find it.

·         Maintenance: Library and Maintenance: Resources

o    When you get the “this is a duplicate” message and choose no, a duplicate will no longer be created.

·         Memorization

o    When you remove the date complete, it now stays removed.

·         Reports

o    The “nothing to report” message now gives some ideas of things to check to change those results. Clicking OK on the “nothing to report” message window will open the options window for that report.

·         Reports – Library Items and Resources

o    Cleared up some ambiguity in the report options for used/un-used; and borrowed; loaned or neither by separating those option items.

·         Reports – Reading Log

o    If an entire entry cannot fit on the bottom of a page, a new page will be started instead of splitting the information across two pages, for better clarity.

·         Reports – Transcript

o    Report options now properly holds on to “combined” option after closing the program.

·         Reschedule with LP Schedule

o    When rescheduling by LP Schedule, the “skip non-school days” option will be disabled as items are only placed according to the schedule selected.

·         Security – new option – “Can change library items”

o    Enabling this option allows your student to add new Reading Log items without requiring that you give them permissions to change any other fields in assignments.

·         Tools: Options: Assignments: Assignment Location

o    Disabling this field no longer incorrectly disabled the Resource Location field in the Library Group Edit form.

·         Tools: Options: General

o    Disabling the Attendance tab no longer disables the option to skip over Holiday/Vacation/Other days or non-school days in copy; submit and prepare features.

·         Weekly Planner: Prepare – preview window

o    Added the same check for space before beginning the process that we added for regular backups to avoid program-closing error.

o    You can now properly select any location/folder for your exported files.

·         ISBN Lookup

o    Should Amazon again experience issues, you’ll get a message that there is a problem connecting and to try again later, rather than a program-closing error.

·         Lesson Plan – Change Sequence Numbers

o    The “Make it Fit” option now calculates the new sequence numbers correctly, no matter how the Lesson Plan grid is grouped.

·         LP Schedule Display

o    Each entry will display specified items only. If you choose “Any Course” or “Any Activity”, those words will not appear on screen.

·         Reclassify

o    Reclassifying a Course to the none/blank course will no longer generate a program-closing error.

·         Resources

o    When re-enabling this option, the Library right-click menu is properly updated without having to restart the program.

·         Same Page/Lesson/Chapter

o    Correctly limited the field to 100 characters to avoid the “field is too small to accept the number of characters” error.

·         Student: Activities & Achievements

o    Fixed an issue with the “Add Time” area where the cache was not clearing correctly.

·         Supplies Report

o    Fixed an issue where the listed items would not clear properly when options were changed

o    Added a date field to the report output.

§  You can now choose to sort the report in alphabetical order by supply name or by date

§  When printing the report for Assignments, the Date field will show the Date Given for the assignment where the supply is listed. If you are not using the Date Given field, the Date Due will be listed

§  The date field will be blank for Lesson Plan and Weekly Planner items.

§  Items without dates will appear first on the list when sorting by Date

o    Recompiled the Help File so that more topic headings appear under each of the major categories, making it easier to find what you’re looking for.

 

New

·         Journal Font Option

o    Added a “Default Journal Font” option to the Tools: Options: General page which allows you to select the starting font (type; style; and size) for your Journal entries.

o    This will NOT change any existing journal entries. If you change the default font again down the line, new entries will show that font selection; old entries will retain their previous settings.

o    You can still elect to change the font and font attributes within individual Journal entries, as before.

o    When choose the “letters” option – failing to enter start with/end with values will create a reminder, rather than a program-closing error.

o    Now allows export to a folder location other than the Desktop

o    If all items are copy-protected (excluded from export) you’ll get a polite message instead of a program-closing error.

·         Monthly Progress Report

o    Margins fixed at 0.5” all around and Portrait format to insure proper display of report

o    Choosing selected Subject/Course/Activity/Resource filters now properly affect the resulting report.

·         Program Options

o    Excluding Memorization and Reading Log tabs now disables the correct options in the Daily Task List Report options window.

·         Reading Log

o    Deleting the last “Add Time” entry no longer throws an error.

o    If you enter a book with a starting date that does not exist in any created school year, you will see a note that it is outside the active year, but no longer receive a program-closing error.

·         Reports

o    Added Pages field to “Fields to Include” options in Library; Resource; and Resources by Student reports.

·         Reschedule

o    Fixed an issue with the “Make It Fit” option (it’s a tricky process!)

o        Fixed an issue where using the COPY function created the assignments as completed – regardless of the status of the original copied item.

o        Fixed an issue where it was ignoring selection when Student field was disabled/hidden

·         Grouping & Sorting

o        Fixed an issue for databases where the Lesson Plan; Resource and Reading Log tabs would throw an error if the previously grouped on field was no longer available.

o        If a sorting error occurs on startup, setting will be removed rather than throw an error.

·         Reading Log & Resource Grids

o        Added the option to view the Author; Publisher; Resource Type; Pages and Grade Level columns in these grids. These fields cannot be edited in the grid – only via the add/edit window or in the Library. However, with these fields in view you can group and sort on them if desired.

o        Fixed an issue where a program-closing error occurred when all items being rescheduled were set to the “None” (blank) Resource

·         Search

o        Ignores invalid characters – rather than throwing an error.
